The 6th Dzongkhag Tshogdu session of the 3rd Local Government of Punakha Dzongkhag commenced today.
The session began with a review of the resolutions from the 5th Dzongkhag Tshogdu session, ensuring follow-up on previously discussed matters . This was followed by a presentation on the progress report for the financial year 2024-2025 and the endorsement of Dzongkhags budget proposal and planned activities for the financial year 2025-2026, by the Officiating Planning Officer.
Subsequently, the members engaged in deliberations on new agenda and issues submitted by various Gewog Tshogdes (GTs) and stakeholders.
The session concluded with the offering of Zhabten for the long live and well-being of His Majesty The King.
